    Preparation Instructions

    Ingredients

    • Stuffing mix (included)
    • 1/2 large onion, diced
    • 3 celery stalks, diced
    • 8 Tbs. (1 stick/125g) unsalted butter, plus more for greasing
    • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
    • Freshly ground pepper
    • 2 1/2 cups (625ml) chicken or vegetable broth

    Directions

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Butter 9" x 13" (23cm x 33cm) baking dish. Pour stuffing mix in large mixing bowl. Set aside.
    • In large sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion, celery, salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until onion is soft and translucent, approx. 8–10 minutes. Add broth and cook, stirring occasionally, until warm.
    • Pour stock mixture over stuffing mix. Gently fold together until combined and stuffing mix is evenly moistened – do not overmix. Let mixture rest until liquid is fully absorbed by stuffing cubes, approx. 20–25 minutes.
    • Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Bake until top is golden brown and crisp, approx. 30–40 minutes. Let stuffing rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
    • Variation: Add 1/2–3/4 cup of sautéed mushrooms, cooked sausage, cooked wild rice, apples or dried cranberries to stuffing mixture before baking. Prepare as directed above.
