It's a refreshing combination of tart lemon, warm vanilla and sunny sweetness. Prep is simple – just mix the starter with half-and-half and heavy cream, pour it in an ice cream maker and freeze.

RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS

• Starter ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store unopened at room temperature for up to 18 months. See best before date on packaging for details.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Ingredients

• 1 packet gelato starter (included)
• 1 1/2 cups (375ml) heavy cream
• 1 1/2 cups (375ml) half-and-half

Directions

• Prepare ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
• In large bowl, whisk together half-and-half and heavy cream until combined. Add gelato starter and whisk until completely dissolved, approx. 3–5 minutes.
• Transfer mixture to ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
• Transfer gelato to freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze until firm, at least 1 1/2 hours for creamy traditional-style gelato or up to 3 days for firm traditional-style ice cream.
• Makes approx. 1 qt. (1L).

• Sugar, lemon powder (maltodextrin, lemon puree, citric acid, sugar, lemon juice), pure vanilla powder (sugar, maltodextrin, natural flavor), modified food starch, sea salt, vegetable juice (color), citric acid.
• This product is prepared and packaged using machines that may come in contact with dairy, eggs, peanuts, wheat/gluten, soy, sesame, tree nuts (almonds, coconut, pecans), mustard.
