Now, you can whip up a batch at home with our stracciatella starter, a decadent combination of premium vanilla and dark chocolate shavings. It's prepared with the finest ingredients, including pure cane sugar, natural vanilla and chocolate sourced from around the world. Just mix the starter with half-and-half and heavy cream, pour it into an ice cream maker and freeze.

Receiving Instructions

• Store unopened at room temperature for up to 18 months.

Preparation Instructions

• 1 gelato starter packet
• 1 1/2 cup half-and-half
• 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

Place ice cream maker bowl in freezer and cool according to manufacturer's instructions.

In large bowl, whisk half-and-half with heavy cream until combined.

Stir in 1 starter packet and whisk 3–5 minutes or until dissolved.

Add mixture to chilled ice cream maker bowl and churn according to manufacturer's instructions for 20 minutes or until thickened.

Transfer gelato to freezer-safe bowl. Cover surface with plastic wrap, freeze for 30 minutes and remove.
