• Whip up a flavorful, satisfying side dish in minutes with our time-saving starter. Made with 100% organic ingredients, it features a Mediterranean-inspired blend of hearty rice, quinoa and millet. The mix is seasoned with onion, garlic and zesty lemon oil, and enhanced with parsley, oregano and thyme. Just simmer the starter with water or stock, then serve it with roasted vegetables and meat or seafood. You can also chill it and toss it with feta cheese, cucumbers, fresh basil and olive oil to create an entrée salad.

Receiving Instructions

• Starter ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store in cool, dark place for up to 24 months.

Preparation Instructions

• In saucepan, combine 1 cup (185g) starter with 2 cups (500ml) water or stock, and 1 Tbs. olive oil or butter. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer until all liquid has absorbed, approx. 15–18 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
• Optional: Chill starter and toss with 1 tsp. lemon zest, 1/4 cup (30g) chopped cucumbers, 2 Tbs. crumbled feta, 1–2 Tbs. chopped fresh oregano or basil, or more if desired, and drizzle with olive oil.

• Organic white rice, organic quinoa, organic millet seed, organic bell peppers, organic onion, salt, 2% or less of: organic tomatoes, organic sunflower oil, organic lemon powder (organic rice maltodextrin, organic lemon juice concentrate, organic lemon oil), organic garlic, organic spices (organic parsley, organic oregano, organic thyme).
• This product is prepared and packaged using machines that may come in contact with dairy, eggs, sesame, soy, tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, macadamia nuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, coconut), wheat/gluten, mustard.
