• Whip up a flavorful, satisfying side dish in minutes with our time-saving starter. Inspired by the tropics, it features vibrant orange lentils in a creamy coconut curry sauce seasoned with cardamom, coriander, ginger, cinnamon and garlic. Just simmer the starter with water or stock, then serve it with roasted vegetables and meat or seafood. You can also pair it with rice to create a hearty vegetarian entrée, or use it in wraps, soups and stews.

RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS

• Starter ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store in cool, dark place for up to 24 months.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

• In medium saucepan, combine starter with 5 cups (1.25l) water or stock. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. If desired, add 1/4–1/2 cup (15–20g) of your favorite greens, let mixture simmer for a few minutes and stir to combine.
• Optional: Let soup cool for approx. 5 minutes more. Transfer to blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. Drizzle with 2–4 Tbs. coconut milk and add a few grinds of freshly cracked pepper.
• If desired, garnish with 1–2 Tbs. fresh chopped mint, parsley or cilantro.
