Cookie Dough Ingredients

• Cookie mix (included)
• 6 Tbs. (90g) unsalted butter, melted
• 1 large egg, room temperature
• Brownie Batter Ingredients
• Brownie mix (included)
• 4 Tbs. (1 stick/60g) unsalted butter, melted
• 1 large egg, room temperature
• 1 Tbs. hot water

Directions

• Position rack in center of oven. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Spray 8" (20cm) sq. pan with nonstick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
• To make cookie dough, in medium bowl, whisk together butter and egg until combined. Using spatula, add cookie mix and blend until dough comes together. Set aside.
• To make brownie batter, in another medium bowl, whisk together butter, egg and hot water until combined. Using spatula, add brownie mix and blend until batter comes together. Set aside.
• Using your hands, form cookie dough into ball and place in center of prepared baking pan. Press dough down and gently push it outward to fill bottom of pan. Add brownie batter on top of cookie dough. Lightly wet your hands with water – this will make dough easier to handle and less sticky to touch. Spread brownie batter using same technique used with cookie dough.
• Cover pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake until top is set, and edges are rounded and have formed a hard crust, approx. 20–24 minutes.
• Transfer pan to wire rack and let cool for 20 minutes. Using parchment, remove brookies from pan to cool completely on rack or cut into squares and serve.
• Serve warm or at room temperature.

• Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix: Unbleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, Guittard extra-dark chocolate chips (unsweetened chocolate, sugar, sunflower lecithin, vanilla), brown sugar (sugar, molasses), pumpkin, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger), sea salt, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, cornstarch, monocalcium phosphate), Bourbon vanilla (water, cane alcohol, cane sugar, vanilla bean extractives), maltodextrin, pure vanilla extractives, annatto (color).
• Brownie Mix: Granulated sugar, unbleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), ground sweet cocoa (sugar, cocoa [processed with potassium carbonate], chocolate liquor, pure vanilla), semisweet chocolate (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, dextrose, sunflower lecithin), dark cocoa powder (cocoa [processed with alkali], baking powder [sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, cornstarch, monocalcium phosphate]), sea salt, Bourbon vanilla (water, cane alcohol, cane sugar, vanilla bean extractives), pure vanilla extractives.
